Systematic due diligence reports on semiconductor, industrial software and manufacturing companies, for investors and executives who need a clear basis for a decision.
What I do
When you're evaluating an investment, an acquisition target or a technology supplier, the hard part is rarely finding information. It's separating what holds up from what doesn't. My reports work through each company along the same structured framework, so nothing important gets skipped and every finding is traceable to a source.
Every report follows the same structure:
Summary and verdict: the key findings and an overall assessment on one page.
Business and market: what the company sells, to whom, and how the market is developing.
Technology assessment: whether the product does what the company claims, and how defensible it is.
Competitive position: the main competitors, the company's differentiation, and where it is exposed.
Financials: revenue quality, margins, cash flow and balance sheet.
Management and execution: track record, incentives, and delivery against past guidance.
Risks and red flags: what could go wrong, ranked by likelihood and impact.
Open questions: what couldn't be verified, and what to ask management.
Reports typically take 4–8 weeks depending on scope and availability of the people involved.
Background
I hold a Master's in electrical engineering from RWTH Aachen and started out in semiconductor design and characterization, including time in Silicon Valley. Over the past six years, I've worked on manufacturing and Industry 4.0 as a consultant at Deloitte and A1 Digital, helping manufacturers with technology strategy and transformation. I also co-founded a wearable sensor company.
I publish equity research on Seeking Alpha, where my analyses of technology and industrial companies reach 2,100+ followers. My focus is Germany and Europe.
That combination is the point: I can read a technical datasheet, a factory floor and a balance sheet, and judge whether they tell the same story.
